Romances in the air

When romances was in the air
As if it was searching for you
And you kept hiding there
I was shouting
At the lowest of my voice
A whisper
Louder than a scream
But you paid no heed
You were scared
I did not protect you
And left
Only then you felt a little safe
Romances in the air can do that
Leave you defenseless
Wishing you surrendered to death
But cling on to the inhibitions
Have a borrowed mind and a body
Trade in your soul
For pleasures unseeked until upon this moment
But you held on
Romances in the air
I wish I had never left
I knew you asked for it too
But never gave
Then I came with all my adulthood
Accepted
You were always a woman
You took me…
